According to the latest data from SMM, the capacity utilisation rate of domestic mines reached 59% last week, up 2.4 percentage points from the previous week. The production of iron ore concentrates rose to 787,000 mt, an increase of 32,000 mt WoW. Sales volume reached 817,000 mt, up 72,000 mt WoW. Meanwhile, the inventory of iron ore concentrates at mines decreased by 30,000 mt, with the total inventory currently at 245,000 mt. After the holiday, as mines and beneficiation plants that had undergone short-term maintenance and repairs gradually resumed normal production, and with the reduced intensity of safety inspections in the north-east China region, some halted mines and beneficiation plants have resumed normal operations, leading to a slight overall increase in the production of iron ore concentrates. Based on the situation this week, according to tracking data from SMM, most mines and beneficiation plants are operating normally as planned, with no plans for production halts or maintenance. Barring any unexpected incidents, it is expected that the overall domestic production of iron ore concentrates will remain stable.
